Piñata's Purpose

Pinata's Purpose is a 6-page, 8.5 x 11 comic that introduces readers to Piñata, a paper mâché animal. This story takes readers through his journey to find his life's purpose. Each page makes use of what is referred to as the “hierarchical grid," speech and captions, with a central protagonist. All text and speech is hand-lettered, and all images are digitally illustrated. Both the concept and storyline of Pinata's Purpose are influenced by my personal experiences and culture.
